1. Map the path from inquiry to ownership
Automation starts with the route an inquiry should take. Bosseo’s public Automation page describes a flow in which a website form, call, chat or video intake is captured, logged and tagged, then routed to the appropriate person or next action. For a Windsor firm, the relevant question is not how many people live in the town. The relevant question is whether your current process clearly identifies who owns each new inquiry and what that person must do next.
Recommended approach
Review every entry point serving your firm, including the website and any intake tools you use. Document the destination for contact details, matter type, notes and source information. Decide which events create a task, which require a human review and which can receive an acknowledgement or follow-up sequence. Keep the geographic scope precise: Windsor matters should not automatically be treated as Capitol Planning Region matters, Connecticut matters or matters from another service area.
