Set the geographic question before reading the numbers
A location filter needs a precise meaning. Your firm may want to examine activity associated with Trumbull Center, activity across the Greater Bridgeport Planning Region, or a broader Connecticut service area. Those are not interchangeable. The Census records Trumbull Center as a CDP and identifies its county relationship as the Greater Bridgeport Planning Region. The population estimate describes the place, not the number of potential clients, matters or searches. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard description includes city data, rankings and leads by case type, but the public description does not establish how every geographic boundary is defined for a particular account.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how location is represented in the dashboard and how you would distinguish Trumbull Center from the wider planning region or Connecticut. Agree on the geographic labels that should appear in reports, then avoid treating a place-level population estimate as a forecast.
