Start with the geography your firm actually serves
The U.S. Census Bureau records Thompson as a municipal town in Connecticut and places it in the Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region. Its 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate is 9,337, with a margin of error of 19. That number describes the town’s population; it does not establish legal demand, review volume, competition, search behavior, or likely revenue. It should therefore help define the boundary of a measurement plan, not justify a performance claim. Ask whether your Google Business Profile and review activity should be evaluated against Thompson alone, the planning region, or a wider Connecticut service area. Then separate inquiries connected to those areas in your reporting.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area definition to the consultation. Include the locations you intentionally serve, locations you do not serve, and the geographic distinctions you want applied when reviewing qualified inquiries.
