1. Define the Ridgefield view before you judge the numbers
A Ridgefield dashboard should make its geographic scope explicit. The Census record identifies Ridgefield as a municipal town and places it in the Western Connecticut Planning Region. Those are different geographic concepts from Connecticut-wide coverage, a metropolitan area, a county-equivalent relationship or a particular service area. A population estimate also describes people in the town; it does not show who searches for a lawyer or becomes a client. Before reviewing performance, ask which locations, service terms and practice areas are included. Also ask whether a displayed city or region represents a search target, a caller’s location, a page location or a matter’s venue. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard page says its dashboard can show keyword rankings, case-type leads and city data. Your acceptance decision should turn those labels into definitions your firm can inspect.
Recommended approach
Bring a written geographic scope to the consultation: Ridgefield, any other locations your firm intentionally serves, and the broader Connecticut scope you want measured. Do not treat the town’s population as a forecast. Require the dashboard review to distinguish geographic targeting from client residence, caller location and case location.
