1. Start with the site you actually operate
Putnam is recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau as a municipal town in Connecticut, with a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 9,292 and a margin of error of 36. That figure describes the town’s population; it does not establish search demand, prospective-client volume or legal need. It does, however, make geographic precision important when you review the site serving your practice. Separate the Putnam pages, broader Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region coverage and statewide pages in your inventory rather than treating them as one audience. Hosting should support the site structure you have, not an assumed market size.
Recommended approach
Bring an inventory of domains, subdomains, page types, forms and administrative accounts to the review. Ask which parts of the existing site must remain unchanged, which can be improved, and which records need special handling during a move.
