1. Define the geography before you set an LSA service area
Prospect’s recorded relationship is to the Naugatuck Valley Planning Region, and the Census geography is the Prospect town. Those are not interchangeable with a county, a metropolitan area or all of Connecticut. A firm may serve Prospect while also accepting matters from surrounding communities, but that broader scope should be a deliberate business choice rather than an assumption drawn from the town’s population. Bosseo’s public LSA description refers to practice-area categories and service areas being set deliberately. That makes geographic review an early decision, not a detail to leave to an advertising platform.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area map to the consultation. Separate Prospect from any other communities your firm is authorized and equipped to serve. Decide whether the campaign should emphasize a narrow local footprint or a broader area, then check whether each location fits your intake capacity, court coverage, matter eligibility and response hours. Do not treat the 9,458-person estimate as a forecast of inquiries.
