1. Start with the geography you actually serve
New Canaan is a CDP, not a synonym for every community in the Western Connecticut Planning Region. That distinction matters when you define a footprint. A page aimed at New Canaan should not quietly represent the entire planning region, Connecticut, or a metropolitan area. Bosseo’s public product description says firms can choose statewide coverage or limit the footprint to selected counties. The Census record places New Canaan in the Western Connecticut Planning Region, but it does not establish that every nearby place belongs in your service area or that broader coverage would be commercially useful.
Recommended approach
Bring your actual service-area policy to the review. Decide whether New Canaan belongs in a focused city-and-service plan, a broader county-based footprint, or a Connecticut-wide structure. Exclude places your firm does not serve. Ask how pages will describe geographic reach without implying an office, court presence, or local experience that you do not have.
