1. Start with the firm’s actual bottleneck
Bosseo’s public Custom Software page describes a workflow-led approach: the firm explains the problem in plain English, Bosseo designs and builds around that workflow, then ships and maintains the tool. Examples on the page include speed-to-lead tools, client status portals, referral trackers, document intake flows and internal dashboards. For a Superior firm, the first useful distinction is between a local-service question and an internal operations question. The fact that Superior is a municipality in Boulder County and Jefferson County can affect how your team labels matters, inquiries or reporting views. It does not tell you which process is inefficient. Identify the repeated task itself: re-entering information, locating a status update, assigning a follow-up or reconciling a referral.
Recommended approach
Bring one recurring task to the consultation. Describe who performs it, what information they use, where the work stops and what must happen next. Do not begin with a feature list. Ask whether the problem is suitable for custom software, whether an existing Bosseo product or off-the-shelf tool is sufficient, and what would count as an acceptable result.
