1. Set the geographic boundary before selecting stories
Golden and Jefferson County are related but not interchangeable. A page about a Colorado law change may be relevant to a Golden practice even when the event occurred elsewhere in the state. A page about an incident in Jefferson County may require different wording from a statewide legal development. The firm should decide whether its intended audience is Golden, Jefferson County, a broader Colorado market, or a defined combination. The Census record identifies Golden as a municipality and records its county relationship as Jefferson County; it does not establish where prospective clients search or where the firm accepts matters.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geographic relevance is determined and how a story’s location will appear in the proposed page. Review whether the service area, practice area and call to action are accurate before approval. Do not use Golden’s population as a proxy for legal demand.
