1. Start with Aspen’s exact service boundary
Your firm may serve Aspen, the rest of Pitkin County, Colorado or clients outside the city. Those are different geographic scopes. The Census record identifies Aspen as a municipality in Pitkin County and reports a population estimate of 6,756 for the city, not for the county or a broader service area. That distinction matters when you decide which callers belong in the same intake path and which require a different handoff. A city population estimate cannot tell you how many people call a law firm, when they call or what type of legal help they seek.
Recommended approach
Write down the geographic scope your phone team actually accepts. During a Bosseo review, compare that scope with your current greeting, qualification questions and escalation rules. Keep the city, county and statewide boundaries explicit so an automated conversation does not imply that every caller has the same eligibility or urgency.
