1. Define the geographic coverage before spending
The University of California-Davis CDP is recorded in Yolo County. That relationship matters when you review the boundary you want an LSA profile to serve, but it does not establish that every nearby searcher is inside your preferred intake area. A law firm may have a service area that is narrower than the county, broader than the CDP, or different by practice. Bosseo’s public LSA description identifies category and geography targeting as part of its program. The useful question is therefore operational: which locations should be eligible for calls or messages, and which locations should be excluded?
Recommended approach
Bring your accepted service locations, office or meeting constraints, and any matter-specific geographic limits to the consultation. Review coverage by practice area rather than treating University of California-Davis or Yolo County as a proxy for demand. If your firm serves California more broadly, decide whether the profile should use that broader scope and how the intake team will screen inquiries from outside the preferred area.
