1. Start with the site and its actual dependencies
A hosting review should begin with an inventory, not a server label. Your current website may depend on its content management system, database, DNS records, SSL certificate, forms, analytics, email-related records, redirects and third-party services. If any dependency is missed, a technically successful server move can still interrupt an important part of the site. The public Bosseo page says its migration work can include files, database, DNS, SSL and email records. That describes the areas to address; it does not remove the need to confirm your firm’s specific configuration.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to map the current environment before approving a cutover. For a San Luis Obispo firm, keep the geographic scope of the site explicit: the site may serve clients in the city, elsewhere in San Luis Obispo County, or beyond California. Hosting should preserve the site’s intended service area rather than changing it accidentally. Agree on what will be copied, what will be tested and who can approve the final switch.
