1. Set the geography before interpreting the numbers
The Census record identifies San Francisco city as a municipality and records its county relationship as San Francisco County. That distinction matters when a firm reviews a city target against a county-wide service area or broader California coverage. A city keyword, a county reference and a statewide ranking are not interchangeable measurements. The dashboard page describes tracking for service-and-city targets and says rankings can be viewed across a state. Your review should therefore identify which geographic label belongs to each tracked term and lead source. Do not treat San Francisco’s population estimate as evidence that a particular practice area has demand or that a marketing channel produces cases.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geographic scope is represented in the dashboard and how your team will distinguish San Francisco city from San Francisco County and any broader California target. Agree on naming conventions before reviewing trends. A useful acceptance question is: can a partner tell which geography a ranking, call or lead refers to without relying on an assumption?
