1. Define the geography before reviewing ROI
The dashboard page describes city and case-type data as decision inputs, while the Census record identifies San Diego city as a municipality within San Diego County. Those are not interchangeable labels. A firm may serve the city, the county, or a broader California market, and a partner reviewing performance needs to know which geography a ranking, call or lead represents. Population should not be treated as a proxy for legal demand or marketing opportunity. Instead, ask to see the exact geographic fields attached to tracked keywords, landing pages, calls and forms. Clarify whether a location refers to the search target, the page, the caller, the matter or another classification.
Recommended approach
During a Bosseo review, write down the geographic definitions your firm would use for San Diego city, San Diego County and any other service areas. Decide which labels belong in partner reporting and which should remain separate. Do not approve a combined total until you can explain what it includes.
