1. Scope the footprint around Rancho Palos Verdes and Los Angeles County
Bosseo’s public product description says firms can choose statewide coverage or limit the footprint to selected counties. Rancho Palos Verdes is a municipality in Los Angeles County; it is not the same geographic unit as the county, the Los Angeles metropolitan area, California, a household or an individual. That distinction matters when you decide what “local” means for your firm. A page for Rancho Palos Verdes should not silently represent every community in Los Angeles County, and a county-level plan should not be presented as proof that every resident is a potential client. Population eligibility may establish that a city belongs in a geographic inventory, but it does not establish demand.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to map your actual service area separately from the city and county labels. Decide whether Rancho Palos Verdes belongs in a Los Angeles County footprint, a broader California footprint or a narrower set of locations. Keep the chosen geography visible in the plan, page copy and reporting.
