Start with the geographic scope you actually serve
A Pittsburg firm may receive inquiries from people in Pittsburg, elsewhere in Contra Costa County, or outside the county. A city name in a landing-page URL does not by itself prove where a matter originated or where a prospective client lives. Lead Attribution records the landing page, referrer, channel and device, while intake answers can provide the firm’s own qualification context. That lets you distinguish a visit to a Pittsburg-focused page from the client’s stated location, practice-area fit or eventual matter outcome.
Recommended approach
Before reviewing attribution, define the geographic fields and service-area boundaries your team uses. Decide whether location is captured as an intake answer, evaluated during consultation, or recorded in another system. Keep Pittsburg, Contra Costa County and any broader California service area as separate concepts so a city-page visit is not mistaken for a countywide or statewide result.
