1. Set the service area around the work you actually accept
Myrtletown’s recorded relationship to Humboldt County matters when you define coverage. A firm may want to evaluate Myrtletown specifically, the wider county, or another service area that reflects where its attorneys can serve clients. Those are different decisions. The population estimate for the Myrtletown CDP does not establish how many people search for a lawyer, how many firms advertise, or how many leads an LSA profile would receive. Bosseo’s public LSA description says its program includes practice-area categories and service zones set deliberately. That makes geographic scope a planning question: which locations and case types should be eligible, and which should be excluded?
Recommended approach
Bring your accepted locations, office or consultation arrangements, practice areas, and out-of-area rules to the review. Ask Bosseo to distinguish Myrtletown targeting from broader Humboldt County coverage instead of treating the CDP population as a media forecast.
