1. Define the journey before reviewing the dashboard
Bosseo describes the ROI Dashboard as a single view for rankings, calls, leads and retainers or revenue. It also describes case-type classification, source attribution, forms and intakes, review tracking, and trends over time. Those labels are useful only if your firm agrees on what each one means. A Monterey city inquiry, a matter from elsewhere in Monterey County, an existing client call and a vendor call should not automatically be treated as the same business event. The Census record identifies Monterey city and its relationship to Monterey County; it does not establish demand, competition, case volume or revenue.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to map the dashboard’s definitions to your intake and matter records. Decide whether your reporting boundary is Monterey city, Monterey County, California or another service area. Document how a potential new client, current client, other contact, qualified lead, retained matter and revenue event will be distinguished. Treat the geographic boundary as a reporting choice, not as a forecast.
