1. Define the territory before a story becomes a page
Mojave is a CDP in Kern County, not a county or metropolitan area. That distinction matters when a news item names a highway, court, agency, municipality or other place outside Mojave. A page intended for a Mojave-serving firm should explain the story’s relationship to the firm’s actual service area rather than attach the city name to every topic. Bosseo’s public Legal News description says its system matches stories to a firm’s practice areas and state and publishes pages on the firm’s own domain after approval. It does not establish that every Mojave, Kern County or regional story will be relevant to a particular firm.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to review the firm’s stated service geography and identify how relevance would be judged for Mojave, Kern County and any additional California communities the firm intentionally serves. Keep those areas separate in page planning and in later measurement. Do not use the Census population estimate as a proxy for the volume of legal-news searches.
