1. Define the Los Angeles service area before setting a budget
Los Angeles city and Los Angeles County are not interchangeable. A firm may serve only selected communities within the city, the wider county, or another territory permitted by its practice and capacity. Local Service Ads targeting should therefore reflect the locations and case types the firm actually wants. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads page describes category and geography targeting, including deliberate settings for practice areas and service zones. The city’s population estimate supplies eligibility context, but it does not establish search volume, competition, lead volume, cases, or revenue.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area decision to the review: Los Angeles city, selected parts of Los Angeles County, or another defined territory. Separate the geography the firm can serve from the geography it prefers to serve. Then review whether the profile, budget, hours, and intake coverage match that choice. Do not expand targeting simply because the broader county is large.
