1. Start with the geographic definition
A dashboard can become misleading when “local” is left undefined. Live Oak city is recorded in Sutter County. Your firm may serve people in the city, elsewhere in Sutter County, or across a wider California service area. Those are different reporting questions. A city-level ranking, a county-level call and a statewide matter should not automatically be placed in one undifferentiated local total. The population estimate for Live Oak is useful for identifying the municipality being discussed, but it does not establish that residents are searching for a particular legal service or that any marketing channel will produce matters there.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how locations are named and separated in the dashboard. Decide which geographic labels matter to your partners: Live Oak city, Sutter County, California, or another expressly defined service area. Require every location-based view to state its geography rather than treating population as a proxy for opportunity.
