1. Start with Lakeport’s actual service boundary
The Census identifies Lakeport as a municipality in Lake County. That relationship matters when you design the first intake question. A visitor may be seeking help in Lakeport, elsewhere in Lake County, or in a jurisdiction your firm does not serve. A city name alone should not decide eligibility, and the population estimate should not be treated as evidence that a particular practice area has demand. Your intake should instead distinguish location, matter type and service-area rules.
Recommended approach
Review whether the Video Intake path should ask where the matter occurred, where the prospective client lives, or which court or agency is involved. Decide which answers require a human review rather than automatic routing. If your firm serves only defined jurisdictions, make that boundary clear before a visitor is invited to schedule.
