1. Start with Fallbrook’s actual geographic scope
Your firm should decide whether “Fallbrook” means the Fallbrook census-designated place only, nearby communities in San Diego County, or a broader California service area. The Census Bureau record identifies Fallbrook CDP and its relationship to San Diego County; it does not establish a metropolitan boundary, client base, competition level or demand for a particular practice. Bosseo’s public Legal News page describes monitoring for stories in a firm’s state and matching them to practice areas. That makes geographic scope an implementation question rather than a population-based marketing conclusion.
Recommended approach
Before approving a news program, write down the places your firm is willing to serve and the places it does not claim to serve. Ask how a story involving Fallbrook, San Diego County or another part of California would be handled. Review whether each proposed page should use a local reference, a county reference, a statewide explanation or no geographic qualifier at all.
