1. Set the geographic question around El Cerrito and Contra Costa County
The Census identifies El Cerrito as a municipality in Contra Costa County. That distinction matters when you decide what a service area should mean. A profile that is intended to serve El Cerrito is not automatically a profile for every community in the county, and a county relationship is not evidence that every county resident is a prospective client. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads description says its program includes practice areas and service zones set deliberately. The decision is therefore operational: which locations can your firm serve, and which locations should be included for review?
Recommended approach
Begin with El Cerrito as the named local market under evaluation. Then document any additional service areas your firm genuinely handles before discussing broader coverage. Review whether calls from outside the intended area can be identified and excluded from qualification or disputed when appropriate. Do not use the city’s population estimate as a forecast of inquiries.
