Use Crestline’s geography to define the intake boundary
Your service area should be explicit before anyone evaluates an intake conversation. Crestline is recorded as a CDP in San Bernardino County, not as a county or metropolitan area. A firm may serve Crestline only, Crestline and other communities in San Bernardino County, or a broader California area. Those are different operating boundaries. Intake Coach should therefore be assessed against the places and matter types your firm actually accepts, rather than against the population estimate alone. The local question is practical: when a caller identifies Crestline or another place in San Bernardino County, does your team know whether that location is inside the firm’s service area, requires attorney review, or needs a referral?
Recommended approach
Bring your current service-area rules to the consultation. Decide which locations can be accepted immediately, which require escalation, and which should receive a clear handoff. Keep Crestline-specific routing separate from broader county coverage so a local label does not become an unsupported assumption about eligibility.
