1. Start with Stuttgart coverage, not a population assumption
Your service area may include Stuttgart, Arkansas County or locations beyond it, but those geographic labels are not interchangeable. The Census records Stuttgart as a municipality in Arkansas County and reports a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 7,903, with a margin of error of 21. That is useful for defining the local context. It does not show how many people call a law firm, when they call, how many calls go unanswered or whether you need additional coverage. Review your own phone logs by hour, day, caller type and disposition. Include calls from Stuttgart and the other places your firm actually serves rather than treating the city estimate as a demand forecast.
Recommended approach
Bring a defined service-area map and a recent call record to the consultation. Ask whether the proposed response path fits the calls your firm receives, rather than buying coverage because a population number appears large or small.
