1. Start with Alma’s actual service geography
Alma and Crawford County are not interchangeable labels. The Census record identifies Alma as a municipality and records its county relationship as Crawford County. If your firm serves both the city and the wider county, your reporting should preserve that distinction rather than treating every contact as an “Alma lead.” Population is useful as eligibility context only. It cannot tell you how many people are searching, which practice areas are active or whether a particular page will produce a case. Attribution becomes more useful when the firm defines the geographic question it wants answered: did an inquiry originate from an Alma-focused page, a broader Crawford County page, a practice page, a referral or another path?
Recommended approach
Bring your service-area definitions to the review. Decide whether reporting should separate Alma from Crawford County and whether matters outside those areas should remain visible without being mixed into the local comparison.
