1. Start with Sitka’s actual service boundary
The available Census record identifies Sitka city and borough as a municipality and records the county relationship as Sitka City and Borough. It does not establish that every potential client is inside the same boundary, and it says nothing about demand for a particular legal service. For a Sitka firm, geography should therefore be an explicit operating decision rather than a population-based assumption. Decide whether the firm serves only Sitka, the recorded borough, or additional areas that it can actually handle. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads description says its program includes practice-area categories and service areas set deliberately. That makes geographic scope a central setup question.
Recommended approach
Before discussing budget, list the locations your firm accepts, the locations it declines, and any travel or consultation limits. Ask Bosseo to compare that service boundary with the geographic settings available for the campaign. Keep Sitka city and borough distinct from Alaska as a whole; statewide service should not be implied merely because the firm is located in Alaska.
