Use Palmer’s geography to define the intake boundary
Palmer is recorded as a municipality, and its county relationship is Matanuska-Susitna Borough. Those are different geographic descriptions, so your intake should not quietly treat “Palmer,” the borough, and all of Alaska as the same service area. Before selecting questions or routing rules, identify which locations your firm actually serves and which locations require review. A visitor’s place of residence, incident location, and preferred office or consultation location may not be identical. Video Intake can be evaluated as a way to ask those distinctions directly rather than relying on a vague “tell us about your case” field.
Recommended approach
Write the geographic questions your staff already needs answered. Decide whether location should affect eligibility, ownership, escalation, or follow-up. Treat the Palmer population estimate as a boundary-setting fact, not a forecast of intake volume or legal demand.
