1. Set the geographic boundary before you discuss budget
Your firm may serve Talladega city, other parts of Talladega County, or a wider Alabama area. Those are different geographic choices, and a city population estimate cannot establish how many people will search for a lawyer, how many firms compete for those searches or how many inquiries an advertising program could produce. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads page describes category and geography targeting, including service areas set deliberately around the case types and locations a firm wants. For your consultation, separate the city from the county and from any additional service territory. Then decide whether the firm can accept and competently handle inquiries from each area.
Recommended approach
Bring a clear service-area map or written boundary to the consultation. Ask how each proposed area would be evaluated separately, how out-of-area inquiries would be identified and how geographic fit would affect lead review. Do not use Talladega’s population as a substitute for a market forecast.
