1. Start with the geography your firm actually serves
The Census record identifies Talladega city and its relationship to Talladega County. Those are not interchangeable with Alabama, a metropolitan area, households, or individuals. A Talladega firm should therefore define its intended coverage before evaluating a news workflow. A page about an Alabama statute may be relevant statewide; an incident in Talladega may be relevant locally; a story outside the firm’s service area may be unsuitable even if it concerns the same practice. Bosseo’s public Legal News description says stories are matched to a firm’s practice areas and state. It does not establish a custom Talladega County coverage plan.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area map to the consultation. Separate Talladega city, Talladega County, any other Alabama locations, and any broader area the firm deliberately serves. Ask which stories would be considered relevant under each boundary, and decide whether a page should explain statewide law, a local event, or both. Do not use the city’s population as a substitute for a demand study.
