1. Define the service area before you set the budget
Your location plan should distinguish Opp from Covington County and from any broader area your firm serves. The Census identifies Opp as a municipality and records its county relationship as Covington County. Those are different geographic scopes. A firm may want inquiries from Opp, from other parts of Covington County, or from a wider Alabama service area, but the choice should follow licensing, case acceptance and office capacity—not the city population alone. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads page says its program includes practice-area categories and service areas. That makes geographic scope an implementation decision rather than a demographic assumption.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area list to the consultation. Separate preferred locations, acceptable locations and locations the firm will not serve. Ask how each area would be represented in the profile, how out-of-area inquiries would be identified and how geography would be reviewed when the firm’s capacity changes.
