Start with Mobile’s actual service boundary
The U.S. Census Bureau records Mobile as a municipality in Mobile County. Its 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate is 203,416, with a margin of error of 65. That is geographic and population context, not evidence of legal demand, search volume, competition, call volume or revenue. For attribution, the useful implication is narrower: your reporting should distinguish the geographic scope you actually serve. A record associated with Mobile is not automatically a record for every place in Mobile County, and a county-wide practice should not treat city and county activity as interchangeable.
Recommended approach
Before judging channels, define the geographic labels your firm uses for Mobile and Mobile County. Review whether those labels appear consistently in intake records, landing-page reporting and matter outcomes. Keep household, individual, city and county concepts separate when deciding what a lead record means.
