1. Set the geographic question before reading the numbers
A Clanton law firm may think in terms of the city, Chilton County or a wider Alabama service area. Those are not interchangeable. The Census record identifies Clanton city as a municipality in Chilton County; it does not establish search demand, client origin or practice-area need. A dashboard review should therefore make geography explicit. Ask whether a “city” field means Clanton city, whether a county field means Chilton County, and whether broader Alabama activity is shown separately. Do not treat a population estimate as a forecast of leads or signed matters.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to demonstrate the geographic labels used for rankings, calls, leads and matters. Decide which locations your partners need to compare and which should remain outside the core view. Keep city, county, metropolitan-area and statewide reporting separate rather than combining them into one local total.
