By securely storing sensitive credentials such as secret keys within the CRM and masking them in the user interface, we prevent any accidental exposure. This change applies to various authentication methods, including Basic auth, Bearer tokens, and API keys. Users now interact with key names rather than viewing the raw secrets, enhancing protection against unauthorized access.
User-Friendly Management
Additionally, our user interface has been overhauled to support intuitive management of these secret keys. When updating or deleting existing keys, the interface guides users through the process without showing the actual values, minimizing the risk of data leaks. Only agency admins and the keys’ creators have the necessary permissions to manage these keys, adding another layer of security.

How to Get Started
Add a Custom Webhook Action
To leverage these security enhancements, users can add a Custom Webhook action within their Automations builder by selecting “Custom Webhook,” followed by the appropriate authentication type (Basic auth, Bearer token, API key).
Configure Credentials
When entering your secret key, do so in the newly introduced masked field, which conceals the information from being displayed outright.
Monitor & Manage
- Use the dropdown menu provided to manage keys, adding or deleting as necessary. It’s important to note that any existing key will be removed once a new key is updated.
- Deletion permissions are limited to agency admins and original creators of the keys, maintaining strict control over sensitive information.
